NEWSLETTER

JULY 2022

We’re celebrating the beginning of summer with our 1st Newsletter and our first get together of Mujeres Latinas. Thank you for signing up for the newsletter and please share with your social media as we grow together because Sharing Can Inspire Change! Read about empowering Latinas at MujeresLatinas.com - moving in the world, breaking glass ceilings, and climbing mountains not just fences, working through challenging moments to reach for our dreams. Staying healthy of mind, body, and spirit, we use our creativity to keep moving forward and constantly learning more to enrichen ourselves. Keep sending in your submissions - we love promoting you. Send it to us at Mujereslatinas.com and follow the guidelines.

These past weeks have brought tears as in the traumatizing Uvalde tragedy along with a lot of anger that has arisen from the reversal of Roe vs Wade regarding abortion. We still need more changes in our gun law. Least not forget the immigration issue that lingers with no changes in sight.
The only power we have is to convert those tears and anger to a voice. I have a voice, you have a voice, together we can share and help one another through our own stories. We are from the tip of Argentina and all the way north to the U.S. That’s us!

The Latina story is our story – it’s our voice and we represent many voices – Latinas have similar experiences but yours is personal - it’s your story. Send us your voice – tell us what’s on your mind and in your heart – maybe a poem, a drawing, a recipe- whatever is in your heart. “Sharing can inspire change” is our moto – so let’s come together to show we can have power with our united voice – Pa’Lante!

HISTORICAL PROFILE ^

Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela have their independence celebrations in July. We are spotlighting Afro Latina, Maria Remedios del Valle, which many folks will find it to be a surprise that she was dubbed, “La Madre de Argentina.”

Please join us this summer in Jersey City - look for our table, and let’s meet and dance!
