There is a huge need for more Latino men in the field of healthcare. In fact, there is a critical shortage of men and women nurses. Many shortages are in our own communities. There are various areas of health care in nursing from visiting nurse, public school nursing, aesthetic/cosmetic, and even psychiatric and mental health nursing. The earnings potential varies with the degree.

The reality is there are workers needed in many fields from green energy to green farming to engineering and service workers and so much more. The jobs are out there. Do you have the training? Write a short list of what you’ve dreamt of and do the research and fill out the paperwork. You won’t know if you don’t try. If not for you – then do it for someone you know that could use some encouragement. Show them how to fill out applications, give them ideas to raise money to pay for fees, help them with their resume, their essay, give them pointers on how to dress for an interview. Sharing helps others and the reward of knowing you helped someone is a warm, wonderful, feeling. Como no!
